I'm gonna try and get my computer going later tonight when I have a little time so if I haven't already been talking to you you should definitely email me or skype me cause, well, why not right?
Going to our nightly meeting now but more to come another day!

okay so the last two days have felt a little blurred. We got to the airport and met up with the group, checked the bags, went through customs, said goodbye, security, bought water and a sandwich and to the plane we went. I sat in between my new friends Ethan and Andrew. We spent our flight watching the social network, playing a matching game, some Tetris, and maybe about 2 hours of sleep? The flight felt really short once it was over. Maybe that's just cause in used to the flight to Australia now hahaha. Once we got off we all met and went to passport control (that's a whole different story). Got the luggage no problem. Payoneer card wasn't working. SIM card In phone wasn't working. So much fun In one short hour of being in Israel. then we were on the busses and into the kibbutz. ITS BEAUTIFUL. The view of the hills from my room and balcony is absolutely gorgeous. It's crazy to think that's what I'll be waking up to for the next few months. I'm rooming with 3 other girls in our little hotel room. We've got a kitchen and a table and a nice balcony :D. The foods not to bad, it's kinda like camp. This whole thing feels like camp, not like we are actually studying here but I'm sure that will change soon. Today we are getting orientation. Got 9 hours of sleep so we all feel a bit better where as yesterday I know I was struggling to keep my eyes open during our activities. it's kinda rainy and cold out here but it'll clear up soon. Just getting ready for general studies orientation now

Saying goodbye...for now

So today was my last day in school here until June. I must say, it was really weird saying bye to everyone like it was summer break in the middle of the winter. I'm going to miss everyone here so much! Especially the breakfast clûb, don't starve guys!
Packing is nearly complete, just a few more things here and there and the suitcases will be ready to go! (Milo's not so happy about that)
Tomorrow another girl going on my trip (her name is Sydney) is coming to stay with us. She lives in California so...I hope she likes cold and snow! I've been messaging back and forth with her for weeks  and I'm super pumped to meet her tomorrow!!

pictures to come

ONLY ONE MORE DAY!

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Alright, so i finally decided to make a blog so that i can share my experiences with you all while I'm in Israel for the next four months!

If you don't already know this, Ive been given the amazing opportunity to go live and study in Israel for the spring semester of THIS year through the NFTY-EIE High School in Israel program. For four months I will be living with other 10th, 11th, and 12th graders on kibbutz Tzuba, which is about 15 minutes outside of Jerusalem. I will be taking my core classes as well as a Hebrew class and a Jewish history class. We take many trips in Israel, as well as a week trip to Poland. During our time in Israel, we get to spend a week in training in Gadna, take a hike across the country during Passover, and many other exciting adventures!  I'm leaving this Sunday, January 26, and wont be home until May 30.

I will try to keep this blog updated as well as posting pictures to Facebook. I'll have internet on the kibbutz so you can always email me, skype me, or facebook message me and ill try to respond when i can. But you know, time difference!

This is going to be an amazing trip and I'm soooo excited!!! Just a few more days!!!
